As photo and video are separate disciplines, many photographers just don’t want to do both, or don’t have the experience. The same is often true for videographers, but not me…

As someone who is highly experienced with both photography and videography, I can combine them throughout the wedding day, capturing stills and video together seamlessly.
My second shooter is a full-time dedicated part of my team who concentrates on video only, so there’s nothing missed.
This means you get an amazing wedding film as well as professional photos without the cost of hiring two separate vendors and the inherent drawbacks that brings… There’s fewer issues with two professionals vying for time and space, with potentially different approaches. This means less time in front of the cameras, fewer bodies, less admin, and much more consistent results between photo and video.

Gold Hybrid – £2000
– Half Day Coverage: 5 hours – perfect for smaller weddings, elopements or celebrations

– 3-4 minute 4K highlight film

– Full ceremony OR speeches video edit
– Full printing rights and online portal to view, download, print and share.
Platinum Hybrid – £3500
– Full Day Coverage: 10 hours. My most popular coverage option is perfect for most weddings
– Drone Footage
– 2 shooters (1 video shooter, 1 hybrid shooter)
– 6-7 minute 4K highlight film
– Full ceremony and speeches video edits
– Fully edited hi-res images including photo-from-video.
– Full printing rights and online portal to view, download, print and share.
Diamond Hybrid – £4000
– Full Day Coverage: 12 hours. Nothing is missed! I can arrive early or stay late.
– Drone Footage
– 2 shooters (1 video shooter, 1 hybrid shooter)

Isn’t Hybrid a Compromise?
For me, the biggest compromise is hiring separate vendors.
Hiring a dedicated photographer and videographer may give you more photos and possibly a longer film, but at a much higher cost, as well as the inherent drawbacks.
Two separate vendors have to compromise on the amount of time with the couple, or how much they can each shoot, especially if their approaches are different. This means more time in front of the camera and away from your guests. Â It also means that neither the photographer or videographer may get exactly what they need.
Having worked with other vendors countless times, I know from experience that it works much much better when we don’t have to work around someone else with a different creative vision or approach.
When a team is cohesive it’s like a choreographed dance. No-one gets in the way of the shot, everyone knows where to be and how to capture the moment.
I fully believe this is a far better approach than hiring separate vendors, but you need to make sure that your hybrid team is fully experienced with both photo and video – that one of these isn’t a bolt-on (just because that’s the way the industry is going!) There are plenty of those kind of hybrid photographers popping up. This service is built on my many years of experience as a videographer and photographer.
